And, like everyone else, I've tried everything in the hopes of finding a cure. I'm beginning to wonder if one exists. At the moment, I have chosen to combat it by keeping my hair extremely short and applying a glycolic acid toner to my scalp after showering. Then, approximately 30-60 minutes later, I apply benzoyl peroxide. Typically, I do this every other day. It has a tendency to get itchy, so I often take an antihistamine to help alleviate the condition. I wish I didn't have to go to such extremes and could just be normal. But normalcy and my scalp haven't been used in the same sentence for quite some time.

James, you are not alone. Not only is there no cure but dermatologists have no idea what causes it. I have seen a dozen different doctors and all it has done is re-enforce my belief that any clown can get a medical degree.

I’ve had this for 19 years and there is no cure.
