I, too, have had scalp acne for almost 20 years. And, like everyone else, I've tried everything in the hopes of finding a cure. I'm beginning to wonder if one exists. At the moment, I have chosen to combat it by keeping my hair extremely short and applying a glycolic acid toner to my scalp after showering. Then, approximately 30-60 minutes later, I apply benzoyl peroxide. Typically, I do this every other day. It has a tendency to get itchy, so I often take an antihistamine to help alleviate the condition. I wish I didn't have to go to such extremes and could just be normal. Not only is there no cure but dermatologists have no idea what causes it. I have seen a dozen different doctors and all it has done is re-enforce my belief that any clown can get a medical degree.
